It is a fact that Virgin Mary has been a great source of inspiration throughout art history. Her pureness, her innocence and her kindness have been celebrated in so many masterpieces it is no surprise that modern artists feel compelled to play with the classic images and icons to make them their own, to provoke or to inspire. In Immaculee, published in Numero in 2007, photographer Miles Aldridge presents his own Virgins, looking like crying wax sculptures...
